Description
The Okomfo Anokye Sword site is where Okomfo Anokye drove the "immovable" Sword into the earth. According to history, the sword was buried approximately 300 years ago. It is thought that the Okomfo declared that the sword would remain in place despite attempts to remove it. It is thought that if the sword were to ever be taken out of the earth, the Ashanti empire would disintegrate.
