What is Foreo Silicone Cleaning Spray?
Every tool or device especially those which are being used on the human body, should be sanitized. Don’t you think so?
People say that silicone needs low maintenance and cleaning. Silicone is more sanitary for skin, according to Ben Segarra, co-founder of Meejee.
“Bacteria cannot grow on silicone because of its nonporous surface and inherent antibacterial qualities,” he explains. “Unlike nylon bristles or other materials that generate bacteria after the first usage, this stops you from spreading undesired microorganisms onto your skin,” he added.
But that doesn’t mean your silicone devices need no cleaning, it does, but not as hard as other material needs. And Foreo Silicone Cleaning Spray does that for you.
It is a cleaning solution for FOREO silicone devices that is quick and effective. It maintains a sanitary cleaning regimen by eliminating dirt and other contaminants from the surface.
However, It is specially designed to clean Foreo silicone-made facial devices, like LUNA.
It comes in a 60ml spray bottle which contains chamomile extract to assist relax and soothe skin, as well as gentle chemicals to clean. What else? This soothing spray, infused with aloe vera, extends the life of your silicone cleansing brush by eliminating cosmetic and makeup residue, oil, and debris.
Furthermore, luckily, it’s alcohol and paraben free which is the good part.
How to use Foreo Silicone Cleansing Spray?
What I personally believe is using Foreo Silicone Cleansing Spray is not rocket science. It’s super easy!
All you have to do is just spray the solution all over your device. Spread it evenly with your fingers, yes, don’t use any other scrub or cleaning brush.
After one to two minutes rinse your device with water.
Isn’t it a piece of cake?
Pros of Foreo Silicone Cleansing Spray
I have been using Foreo cleansing spray and I found it convenient in so many ways. Let me tell you why.
1. Works wonder in lesser quantity
The instructions recommend cleaning your brush when it appears unclean, but I never do because I use my silicone device in the shower, mostly.
So I put a few spritzes onto the brush and massage the substance in between all of the bristles once or twice a week. I then rinse it with warm water and let it dry naturally while standing up straight.
The spray appears to go a great distance, and you don’t need that much.
2. Best for humid environments
I live in a humid climate, and a humid climate is highly responsible for accumulating bacteria. Therefore I spend more time cleaning bathroom goods, and I didn’t hesitate to get this for my FOREO devices, which I use mostly in the bathroom.
The price is reasonable, but it’s worth it to know I won’t be housing any bacteria, anymore. It cleans the device completely!
3. No irritants
It is better to get the cleaner which is completely harmless and non-allergic. It has the correct ratio, which professionals have investigated and tested. This prevents the possibility of dangerous substances being emitted and inhaled by the user.
Further, I didn’t feel any itching or irritation when I used my LUNA device after cleaning with this spray. THAT’S GOOD!
4. Value for money
The bottle of Foreo cleaning spray has a 60ml solution with a price of around $10. For some, it may be expensive—for salons as they use silicone devices so frequently. But, for me and for people who use silicone devices once or twice a week, this spray is not a deal breaker.
As I told you earlier, you don’t have to use the spray too much, less product work wonders, it goes a long way. One or two spritzes are enough for cleaning your silicone facial device. IT’S REALLY WORTH $10.
5. Convenient and quick
It doesn’t create any mess. SO EASY, SO CONVENIENT.
If you are like me who has a busy schedule and doesn’t get time for cleaning and all, this spray is your helping hand. With this, you don’t have to soak, scrub, and dry your silicone beauty tools. Everything is just at your fingertips.
Whenever you find your silicone massager dirty, just phiss phuss and all done.
6. Doesn’t leave your massager sticky
You must be wondering, the spray has cleaning chemicals, is it not sticky?
No, it’s not. It leaves the device clean, smooth and shiny. What more could one ask for?
Cons of Foreo Silicone Cleaning Spray
The device is good but it doesn’t mean it has all green ticks. Though it works marvelously for me, I still have some minor concerns.
Check out, please!
1. Has a sharp pungent smell
Holy crap, it smells so bad that I was afraid to use it for the very first time!
Powerful, chemical, stinky cockroach killer spray smell! Yeah, of course, you can wash it off, and the odour, thankfully, does not linger. THAT’S FINE!
2. Doesn’t remove heavy makeup residue
It didn’t remove any heavy makeup particles…
I used it twice, the second time I left the product in the LUNA for 10 minutes before washing it with warm water.
Unfortunately, I still observed some remnants of makeup between the bristles after rinsing with warm water.
Here I think, this cleaning spray doesn’t work so well or you should first clean your makeup with micellar water and then use the device to avoid any accumulation on it.
